Lance Glare was appointed as acting Chief Executive Officer of Infrastructure WA shortly after its commencement in July 2019. Lance and the Infrastructure WA team are working closely with the Board to develop Western Australia's first State Infrastructure Strategy, and to prepare for and progress other key functions.
Prior to this, Lance led a number of key infrastructure and economic reforms in a senior role with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. This included the design and creation of Infrastructure WA; the first whole-of government policy for Market-led Proposals for WA; preparing a State Economic Development Framework - Diversify WA; and negotiations with the Commonwealth and Infrastructure Australia on Federal infrastructure funding.
Lance has more than 20 years' experience across the three levels of government in four States and Territories, including leading the development of the first Queensland Infrastructure Plan and an associated Economic Development Strategy. He holds qualifications in public administration, project management and the built environment, and is an alumnus of the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
