Infrastructure WA's role is to provide advice and assistance to the WA Government on infrastructure matters. Looking at the medium to long term, our advice informs infrastructure investment decision-making and supports better outcomes for the people and economy of Western Australia.

During July and August 2020, as part of the engagement program to support the release of A Stronger Tomorrow: State Infrastructure Strategy Discussion Paper, IWA hosted a state-wide workshop series. We travelled the length and breadth of WA to gain a better understanding about the medium and long-term infrastructure needs and priorities in different areas and by different sectors.

Philip Helberg (Chief Executive Officer)

Phil HelbergPhilip was appointed IWA’s Chief Executive Officer in June 2020, commencing the role in August 2020. Philip and the Infrastructure WA  team are working closely with the Board to develop Western Australia's first State Infrastructure Strategy, and to prepare for and progress other key functions.

Infrastructure WA officially opened the door to a state-wide conversation about the future of infrastructure in Western Australia with the release of its State Infrastructure Strategy Discussion Paper on Friday 26 June 2020.

Infrastructure WA (IWA) provides expert advice and assistance to the WA Government on infrastructure matters. 

Our procurement activities over the next 18 to 24 months are expected to be focussed on review and analysis of infrastructure and investment.
