Due to the rapidly evolving pandemic situation, IWA has decided to postpone release of the State Infrastructure Strategy Discussion Paper until a future stage.

In the meantime, we are keeping busy and considering how IWA can assist government during this difficult time.

We will keep you up to date regarding a rescheduled launch date for the Discussion Paper.

Infrastructure WA will be visiting Karratha, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie in February 2020 for a series of Regional Stakeholders Engagement Forums as part of an ongoing regional engagement program. 

The sessions will give stakeholders in the Pilbara, Mid West and Goldfields Esperance regions the opportunity to find out about Infrastructure WA’s early operation and the development of Western Australia’s first State Infrastructure Strategy. 

Dear stakeholders

It has been an extremely busy four months or so since the establishment of Infrastructure WA (IWA) in late July. The inaugural IWA Board has now met four times, with another Board Meeting taking place on the 13th of this month. In November we undertook a corporate strategy planning session, which will set IWA’s long-term direction.
 

Among the items for discussion were IWA’s purpose and values, its vision, goals and how we measure success. 

In November and December 2019, Infrastructure WA visited Broome, Bunbury and Albany as part of a short series of Regional Stakeholders Engagement Forums. 

The sessions were an opportunity to learn about the establishment and early operation of Infrastructure WA and take part in a discussion on perspectives for WA’s first State Infrastructure Strategy. The forums were part of an ongoing consultation program that will facilitate regional input to the development of the Strategy.
